Woodchase doesn't do it (although I've considered asking them if they would like to). It's a pain because we have no room to put things and our kitchen doesn't look as nice, but I feel so much better taking everything over to the drop-off station; it's amazing how much we've been throwing away!<BR/>I've read articles on the best fruits and veggies to buy that are organic. I like your idea of starting off small. Baby steps, I can do that!Jillhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10662487046192636795noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4299751679348078955.post-73056299226208029132008-03-07T15:13:00.000-05:002008-03-07T15:13:00.000-05:00Thanks so much for your post about being "green". ...Thanks so much for your post about being "green". I am working on this bit by bit. We have our reusable grocery bags and I shun products with extra packaging. We are working on eating more whole foods as a family, but it is a little harder on the budget. I have to keep reminding myself about the "Western diseases" we will avoid by eating less processed foods.Nicolehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17279705473021092772noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4299751679348078955.post-8924959379874073672008-03-07T10:41:00.000-05:002008-03-07T10:41:00.000-05:00We have the same feelings. Something else that would completely help the environment--I know I'm crazy--but being vegan makes a massive difference. I can share some resources with you. But the amount of animal waste, poor land use, water use . . . . .the list goes on and on . . . to produce just one pound of beef or poultry is astounding. Not to mention the health benefits. Way to go Richards for making a difference. Every little bit helps. . . . And did you notice. . . I have NO will power. I promised myself a 30day blog fast and here I am reading yours! The Rackleyshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07179265681428920684noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4299751679348078955.post-58736748981666887552008-03-07T07:07:00.000-05:002008-03-07T07:07:00.000-05:00This is one of those areas I have been trying to s...This is one of those areas I have been trying to slowly bring into our home. Andy is a tough sell due to the cost difference. The kids don't know the difference in produce. Have you stopped by Plum Market? The produce section was, should I say, beautiful. They carry organic items, but also the "i would die if I couldn't have...Jiff PB...Hidden Valley Ranch..." Nice.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
