Zofran, My Friend

My midwives gave me a prescription for an anti-nausea medication used for chemotherapy patients that has helped me to stop throwing up. Yay! Now I'm just tired and mildly sick, but I can eat and keep it all down where it belongs. It always amazes me the things I take for granted, like being able to eat food and drink water. My spirits are generally low, but I remember that this is how the first trimester always goes for me...it is hard to feel mentally peppy when my body feels so yucky. As usual, I am telling Dan that this is our LAST baby. He says I always say that. But I really mean it this time!!!

I am SO happy for you! I mean, sad that you are still feeling yucky/ tired, but thrilled that you can eat food!

I'm glad you found something to help!

On the bright side, the one good thing about feeling so crummy is that, for me anyway, I make it through the first chunk of pregnancy without gaining much weight. I like to think I'll lose the weight more easily since I didn't gain anything the first half.

I'm on my third last pregnancy right now. :-) REALLY the last. :-) Really.

Oh, yes, I kept telling Byron during my #4 first trimester that if we were ever going to have anymore kids, he would have to be the one to be pregnant. They'll have that whole thing figured out in a few years right?

As I sit here and actually hold my little #4, how can I think anything is not worth it?? PLEASE keep reminding me how horrible it is, lest I forget and do something drastic!!

I am so glad you are having a boy. It wouldn't be the right if we didn't have our twinner families :)

This is definitely our last too. I am getting too old to do this pregnancy thing anymore.
